AND the winners are…
Early Monday morning (too early Monday morning) March 9, our first ever Diamond Skulls winners were announced at the amazingly beautiful Gnarabup Beach as the opening event of Emergence 2015.
The Ultimate Diamond Skull, as judged by The Diamond Skulls Patron Matt Eastwood from the winners of all categories was Art Director of the Year David Donald (pictured with Seven West Media's Brent Stewart).
"David’s work is filled with genuine human insight matched by world class execution. He obviously has the ability to generate big ideas. But he also has the unique ability to use art direction to seamlessly and elegantly enhance his thinking. Bravo.”, said Matt Eastwood, Worldwide Creative Director of JWT.

Worldwide Chief Creative Office of JWT (and PADC Award winner) Matt Eastwood has agreed to come on board as the Patron of The Diamond Skulls.
Matt will review the winners of each category and award The Ultimate Diamond Skull, a perpetual trophy that will go to the individual who, in Matt's opinion, has produced the most inspiring body of work for 2014.
Presented by the PADC
at Emergence 2015
The Diamond Skulls aim to honour the individuals who create the most inspiring creative communications in Western Australia in a given year.
Unlike traditional craft categories in award shows, The Diamond Skulls will be judged on a portfolio of work created in 2014, rather than a one-off piece.
The Diamond Skulls are free to enter.
There are seven categories for the Awards;
Photographer, Director, Editor, Designer, Art Director, Copywriter and Sound Designer of the Year. One Diamond Skull will be awarded in each category to a PADC Member.
Three finalists in each category will receive a complimentary Conference Pass (valued at $550 each) to Emergence Creative Festival 2015 in Margaret River from March 8 to 11. During the Festival The Diamond Skulls will be presented to winners at a special gala event. Finalists' work will also be displayed at various events throughout the Festival.
